Jennifer

What are the reasons for people being rejected from Waseda at the interview?

Greg

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help.

Greg

Sorry, I don't really know. But I imagine that people would mostly be rejected from the interview for not speaking English on on acceptable level. Like, if they had someone else write their essay and couldn't back it up in the interview or something. I wouldn't worry too much, though, you certainly don't need perfect English to get in.

Jennifer

Sorry for the very late replying, Greg.
I have done mine in 3rd April in Taipei.. I was given the writing test exactly same with yours but I was so stupid not practicing them before.. T^T I was interviewed by Japanese Prof and English Prof face to face, I have been asked about myself and my surroundings.. I hope I can be accepted and waiting for the result now...

Jennifer

Oh, Greg! I'm accepted to Waseda!!!! Thank you so much for your advices!!

Jennifer

yessss, I got into waseda!!!
are there such thing as conditional offer for waseda??

Greg

Congratulations! I have never heard of there being conditional offers, if you're admissions number is on the results list you're in. You should get an e-mail soon from SILS and some stuff in mail afterwards.

Jennifer

does that mean that I'll still get in even if I either fail or get a ridiculous score on my IB exams?? :D

Jennifer

also, is studying in Waseda a lot more harder than the IB?
or is it the other way around?

Annaljm

hi Greg
not sure if you still come here but I have some questions so i thought i shall just try my luck.

I would like to know what is the first enrollment procedure for successful candidates? Is it just the transfering of fees?
Because I am leaving the country just a few days after the announce of the results and won't be back till after the end of the first enrollment procedure period. And I am afraid that I would not be able to complete the procedure in time should I get in.
