I happen to run web stuff for the Waseda Business Association, an awesome student group all about bridging the gap between this weird, dreamy college paradise of SILS, and the cold, harsh reality of a career in Japan (or anywhere else, really). The group is run pretty simply: we gather motivated, smart, fun people, and share knowledge, experience, or connections. If you're looking for an internship, want to find out about a particular field of work or industry, or just want information, in plain English, of what the working world in Japan is like, you should come check us out (we've got a website here).
Our first general meeting of the year, aimed especially at first-year students, is April 27th, this coming Monday. We'll kick off at 6pm by the white chairs in front of Building 11, and will run about an hour and a half (you can leave early if you need to). All are welcome...kind of. We don't care about experience, age, or nationality, but you should be motivated and eager to learn or teach. This group is fun but serious, and if you're the same way, you stand to gain a lot by joining.
Hope to see you there! Please email me if you plan on coming, so I can let you know about any last-minute changes or pieces of information. Also, we're really heavy on the upperclassmen, and searching for freshmen to carry our work on when we graduate, so if you've got friends that might be interested, please let them know about this.
